Following last weeks defeat at Barry Romilly, the midweek Munro Cup team made the slightly shorter journey to Barry Central on Wednesday 17th June, and returned to winning ways with a resounding 56 shot, 96-40 victory, following a match played in good spirits throughout.

The game started, and finished, in cold and overcast conditions and proved to be a game of two halves. Luckily for Dinas both halves were very much in their favour, as after nine ends they held a 48-19 lead, and over the second nine ends they recorded a further 48 shots, only to concede 21.

As the game drew to a close, and with the match won, the question of who would take the 'diddler' came into sharp focus, being keenly contested between the rinks skipped by Neil Giles and Matthew Gershenson. With Giles dropping a shot on the last end, Gershenson looked odds on favourite, only for the Centrals Dave Goddard to draw two shots with his last woods, denying Matthew a hat-trick of diddlers, and leaving Neil to pick up the spoils.

Having won five of their opening six games and accumulated 70 points to date, the team are well placed in the league and return to familiar surroundings next Wednesday, 24th, when they entertain Llantwit Major, anticipating a tough challenge.
