Dinas made the short trip to Penarth to play Belle Vue in the Carruthers Shield, and eased through their group with a comfortable 76 shot, 130-54 victory.
With a number of regulars unavailable it was a changed team from the first Carruthers fixture, that still proved far too strong for the hosts. Whilst the weather was kind, and the sun shone, the green itself was heavy, such that it restricted drawing bowling, with a far more direct approach being the order of the day.
Good wins were recorded across all four rinks, although Dinas will know they'll face far stiffer opposition as they now move into the knock-out stages.
