Following a couple of reversals it was good to see the midweek Munro Cup team return to winning ways with back to back victories, during which they harvested 26 points from a possible 28 on offer.
On Wednesday 15th July the team made the very short trip to play their nearest rivals at the Murch and on a very heavy green it was Alun Jones' rink that lead the way (diddler monies included) with a resounding 14 shot, 21 to 7 win. This was backed up by solid wins by five shots for Club Captain Paul Marks, ably assisted by Gerry White and four shots for Club Chairman Neil Giles, with Joe Coles debuting at 3rd. .
Somewhat surprisingly Matthew Gershenson's quartet had a terrible evening and were on the wrong end of a 19 shot thumping, meaning the overall result of the game remained in the balance until the last ends were played. In the event that defeat wasn't overly costly, with Dinas picking up a useful 12 points with a 71-67 victory

On Wednesday 22nd the team entertained Barry Athletic and enjoyed an excellent evening with an emphatic 33 shot, 91-58 win, collecting the maximum 14 points along the way.
Top honours of the evening went to the rink of Chris Bates, who along with Martin Seaford, Phil Hanley and Graham Duggan posted a super 15 shot 23-8 win. Alun Jones was once again sniffing the diddler funds but his quest ran out of steam before he eventually came home by eight shots.
Captain Paul Marks' rink had a strong finish and they too recorded a very useful eight shot win against visiting skip Chris Wright, whilst maximum points were secured as Gerry White's rink squeezed home by two shots in a much tighter encounter to round off a very successful night for the villagers.
