There have been three midweek Munro Cup matches to catch up with since the last report.

On Wednesday 23rd July Dinas entertained high flying Barry Romilly, looking to keep their seven match winning run going, and knowing that only victory would keep alive any slender hopes of challenging for league honours.

In a tight match Ritchie Janes' rink of David James, Graham Duggan and Martin Seaford led the way, posting an excellent 10 shot, 19-9 win. This was added to with rinks for both Paul Marks' and Alun Jones' rinks of 19-14 and 16-13.

Unfortunately, despite this 18 shot buffer the usually reliable Gareth Griffiths saw his rink go down by a hugely disappointing 20 shots to a Freddie Phillips inspired quartet, leaving Dinas on the wrong end of a two shot defeat, and ruing a game that got away. With their winning run in tatters the six points gained was little consolation.

D.James, G.Duggan, M.Seaford, R.Janes  (19-9)                              J.Coles, A.Locker, J.Porter, A.Jones  (16-13)                                              J.Ackland, C.Scott, N.Giles, P.Marks  (19-14)                                    D.Parker, T.Nurse, T.Hurcom, G.Griffiths  (8-28)

Wednesday 30th July  saw a much changed team travel away to Millwood and on a warm summers evening returned to winning ways, coming away with a comfortable 22 shot, 80-58 victory, collecting a well deserved 13 points.

Skip Alun Jones, ably assisted by Joe Coles, Hector Lamont and Gerry White, took the honours, and after storming into an early 12-0 lead eventually settled a very solid 15 shot, 30-15 win. This was reinforced by the redoubtable Captain Marks leading his rink home by six shots, with Chris Bates just edging home a close encounter by 12-11.  A rare midweek outing from saw Chris Ackland saw his rink collect four shots over the last two ends to add a further point with a battling 18-18 draw.

J.Coles, H.Lamont, G.White, A.Jones  (30-15)                                     P.Hanley, G.Duggan, N.Giles, P.Marks  (20-14)                                            D.James, P.Hufton, D.Ireland, C.Bates  (12-11)                                   J.Ackland, R.Fear, T.Hurcom, C.Ackland  (18-18)

On Wednesday, 6th August, Dinas hosted last season's league champions Llantwit Major and in another close encounter just came out on the wrong side of a four shot 58-62 defeat.

Club President made a rare midweek appearance, and alongside the very experienced Gerry White lead his rink to an impressive 23-9 win against ex Dinas favourite Graeme Jones. Unfortunately this was as good as it got for the home side, as both Gareth Griffiths and Neil Giles' rinks fell to narrow losses of three and four shots respectively, whilst Alun Jones' rink struggled to get going, slipping by 11 shots, leaving Dinas just falling short on the night.

With two games of the midweek league left to play Dinas have posted an 8 wins 4 defeats record to lie 5th in the table, and with all four defeats being within six shots one wonders what might have been.

J.Coles, T.Nurse, G.White, H.Meddins  (23-9)                                      A.Locker, H.Lamont, M.Seaford, G.Griffiths  (10-13)                                  P.Hanley, R.Fear, C.Bates, A.Jones  (12-23)                                       D.James, P.Hufton, D.Ireland, N.Giles  (13-17)
