Captain Paul Marks was delighted with his team's performance as they notched up their fifth straight Munro Cup victory in defeating Barry Plastics on Wednesday 2nd July.  With one 'no show' Paul was particularly grateful for the sportsmanship shown by his Plastics counterpart who volunteered one of their reserves to make up the rink.

Across the four rinks it was a mixed bag of results for Dinas. Neil Giles rink led the way as they romped into a 24-1 lead, before relaxing over the final four ends to record an excellent 28-13 win. That was matched by Chris Bates' rink who also recorded a fine 24-9, 15 shot win, as they performed consistently throughout.

Alun Jones' rink added a further two points but they had endure a much closer match, before squeaking home, largely courtesy of a three on the penultimate end, by 14-13.

Sadly, for Captain Marks, even the help of his 'guest player' could not prevent his rink slumping to a 9-25 defeat as they were never 'at the races'. Despite this unusual midweek setback for Captain Marks, he remained in buoyant mood after the match as his team recorded a 75-60 shot win, adding a further 12 points to their seasons total.
