The PG2 team travelled to Aberdare last Saturday (22nd June) to face stiff opposition in a Harlequins team they narrowly defeated by 4 shots on the opening day of the season. In confident mood the Dinas team took the early initiative & after 6 ends had established a healthy 17 shot advantage overall, with Chris Scott's rink racing into a 12 shot lead.

Notwithstanding home advantage the Quins were unable to stem the tide, & whilst 2 rinks remained tight, after 14 ends the Dinas lead had been extended to 24 shots as Neil Giles' rink found their range to take a commanding grip on their rink.

As the game came to it's closing stages John Porter's rink finished with a mighty flourish to turn a 2 shot deficit into a hard earned 5 shot win, picking up 7 shots in the final 3 ends.

This left Captain Paul Marks & his rink, who in a 'nip & tuck' game throughout unfortunately came out on the wrong end a narrow 3 shot defeat. Despite this Captain Marks was in buoyant mood as his men recorded a 90-62 shot victory to pick up 12 pts & keep their 100% record going recording their 6th straight win of the campaign.
