On a warm & pleasant evening (Wednesday 26th June) there were many familiar & friendly faces as the midweek team played hosts to their local village rivals from The Murch, eventually coming out on top on all four rinks to record a 82-45 shot victory.
Young Ben Griffiths at lead was prominent as John Porter's rink recorded an 8 shot 22-14 win, whilst his dad Gareth was able to call on the equally capable but somewhat more mature skills of Charlie Reynolds as he prevailed 19-13.
Neil Giles rink also recorded a 6 shot winning margin, 14-8, in a very closely fought encounter with 14 of 18 ends being decided by a single shot. This left midweek Captain Paul Marks, with Connor Parsons turning out against his old teammates to post the best win, running out comfortable victors by 27 shots to 10.
With the match played throughout in good high spirits all parties retired for well earned refreshments after the game to reflect on a very enjoyable evening.
