The midweek 'Munro Cup' team completed their 2015 season in fine style with two away wins at Rhoose and Cowbridge respectively to record their fourth and fifth consecutive wins in a season that saw them victorious in 10 of the 14 matches played.

On Thursday 6th August the team made the journey to Rhoose anticipating a tough game on their artificial surface, which has often proved a graveyard for visiting opposition.

In the event the Dinas team put in  a quite magnificent performance, recording wins across all four rinks to register a full 14 point haul, leaving the home skip to reflect on the last occasion Rhoose were outgunned across the board in such fashion. (He couldn't recall it in fact !!)

Leading the way for Dinas was Ritchie Janes rink who were never behind, finishing strongly with eight shots over the final three ends to post a 20-10 win.

Matthew Gershenson's rink came from 8-12 behind after 12 ends to win the final six ends to post a 19-12 win, whilst the redoubtable Ireland / Jones combo also had a strong finish in winning 17-11. The visitors scoring was rounded off with Gerry White's quartet who, after moving in front on end seven were never troubled and came home 17-12.

Overall this was arguably one of the most complete team performances of the season with all 16 players reflecting on a job thoroughly well done with the final score of 73-45 being a fair reflection on the Dinas' superiority on the night.

A.Locker, T.Gittins, M.Edwards, R.Janes  (20-10)                                    J.Coles, G.Duggan, D.Parker, M.Gershenson  (19-12)                D.James, B.Harris, D.Ireland, A.Jones  (17-11)                                        M.Seaford, J.Follon, D.Vowles, G.White  (17-12)

On Wednesday 12th August the team travelled to the recently re-laid Cowbridge rink to face the challenge of an artificial surface for the second time, and finished the season in style winning by 76 shots to 63 and claiming 10 points.

The win was based on another excellent display from the rink of Alun (show me the diddler money) Jones, as his rink romped to an empathic 26-10 win. Indeed Alun's partnership with Dave Ireland this season has proved to be highly successful as they've reaped eight wins and a draw from 11 outings together.

A first midweek appearance of the season for Andrew Harvey ended well as his rink, with the vastly experienced David Vowles at third, came from six shots behind to finish with a flourish of 12 shots in four ends to win 18-13.

Matthew Gershenson's rink stayed doggedly in their game throughout but were unable to get their noses in front at any stage and after two dead ends eventually bowed to defeat in near darkness at 15-18.

The scoring was completed by Ritchie Janes rink, who at one stage trailed badly, despite the valiant efforts of Joe Coles, who had a super game as lead. They however also finished strongly to recover a lot of lost ground in succumbing to a 17-22 defeat.

Overall however this was a very good team performance and an excellent way to finish a season that saw the team start brightly, winning their first four games, have a mid season blip, and finish strongly with five wins on the bounce.

G.Duggan, J.Follon, D.Vowles, A.Harvey  (18-13)                                         A.Locker, R.Diment, T.Hurcom, M.Gershenson  (15-18)            D.James, H.Lamont, D.Ireland, A.Jones  (26-10)                                           J.Coles, G.Leach, G.White, R.Janes  (17-22)

their 10th win from the 14 match season, which should see them finish third in the league table
